PRIVACY STATEMENT


www.wackscaller.com  and  www.wackscaller.co.uk (the “Website”) is owned and operated by the partnership known as Wacks Caller Solicitors (“we, us”).



1. Information, Collection and Use
(i) In order to use the Website, a user is not required to register.
 
(ii) Wacks Caller is the sole owner of the information collected on the Website.  We will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.
(iii) Wacks Caller collects information from our users at several different points on the Website. Whilst it is possible for us to log your IP address when you use the Website, we only obtain specific data about an individual who completes the “contact us” page or any other registration page on the Website.
(iv) We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the Website, track users movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
(v) In order to apply for a job vacancy via the Website a user is required to provide information such as name, title, email address, date of birth, telephone and mobile telephone number as well as providing a copy of their current curriculum vitae.   Such information is used to evaluate the candidate for the job vacancy and no other purpose.  Such applications may be retained even if the candidate is not offered a position with Wacks Caller to verify information where the candidate makes subsequent applications.
(vi) The contact information requested on the Website is used to contact the user about the job vacancies or services for which they have expressed interest.
(vii) We may from time to time monitor any communication between the user and Wacks Caller but we are not obliged to do so.
2. Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard-drive containing information about the user.  We do not use any cookies or similar devices on the Website.
3. Sharing
We use your personal information to provide legal services, marketing and administration.  In carrying out these services we may share your information with third parties such as marketers, accountancy firms and credit agencies for the purpose of providing these services and require such third parties to respect the confidentiality of your data.  Other than such third parties who act on our behalf, the information you provide to us via this Website will not be transferred to third parties unless we have your permission to do so.
4. Links
Please note that this Policy applies only to the Wacks Caller Website, and is not intended to apply to websites of other companies to which we may provide links.  Wacks Caller is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of each and every website that they visit when they leave our Website.  This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Website.
5. Newsletter
In some instances, Wacks Caller may send out a newsletter containing recent updates in the law or information that is relevant to its business.  If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name, e-mail address, Company and address, telephone number, facsimile number and website address.  A user may unsubscribe from this at any point, simply by contacting us at law@wackscaller.com.
6. Corrections/Updating Personal Information
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes, or if a user no longer desires our service, we will correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us.  This can usually be done by e-mailing us at law@wackscaller.com.  Alternatively you can write to, or telephone Tony Dempsey as above.  We shall respond within 21 days of receipt by us of your request.
7. Subject Access Request
A user can contact us in writing as to whether we are keeping personal data about you.  You are entitled to request a copy of such information.  Please provide proof of identity with your written request.

We shall respond within 40 days of receipt by us of your request.
8. Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, we disclose it.  If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of postal mail or e-mail.  Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner.  We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
9. Business Transfers
Wacks Caller is not in the business of selling customer information.  If all or part of Wacks Caller is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to another entity, the user’s data may also be transferred.
10. Direct marketing
Wacks Caller may retain the user’s information for marketing and entertainment purposes.  We may contact you by mail, telephone, facsimile or email about any legal services or events that we feel may be of interest to you.  A user can choose not to receive such materials at any time by contacting us law@wackscaller.com.  No further action is necessary if you have previously indicated to us that you do not want to receive such marketing material.
11. Security
We take security of user data very seriously and shall take all reasonable endeavours to ensure the security of user data.
